Grace Bay Club

Stylish and secluded on the beach

What it is

The epitome of barefoot luxury.

What it isn't

A party pad (head to the Gansevoort if you want more of a scene).

What we think

When Grace Bay Club opened in 1993, it helped put the Turks & Caicos on the luxury getaway map. The resort sits on 11 acres along Grace Bay—fronting 1,100 feet one of the most beautiful stretches of Caribbean beach. The sparkling white sand is visible from the balconies of all 82 rooms, presciently (and definitively) divided into three sections: family-friendly villas with terra cotta roofs; an adults-only, all-suite hotel; and an estate section with full-size residences. The overall design—interiors are by Thom Felicia—is stylish and beachy: muted silver and dark taupe hues enlivened by soft pastels and patterns. Every guest has access to a private concierge, and even a cell phone to reach him or her. There's also a top-notch spa (book well in advance), tennis courts and four pools. The best part about this place, though, is the lack of pretension. There’s no stiff upper lip, despite the discerning crowd.

You're here because

You want a beachfront escape that delivers style and the level of relaxation we all dream of.

The Moment

When the last drop of aged after-dinner rum disappears from your glass, you push back from the table and walk hand in hand towards the sand. Once your heels are unbuckled and dangling from your fingers, you can feel the sand between your toes as you begin the moonlit walk back to your suite.
