Paradise Island, Bahamas
The Cove at Atlantis
The top-end choice at Atlantis
What it is
An exclusive oasis within activity-filled mega-resort.
What it isn't
An ideal choice for the child-averse.
What we think
The 140-acre Atlantis complex is so large it has its own postal code, with a marina, aquarium, 60,000-square-foot casino, almost 3,500 rooms and dozens of restaurants and bars. The Cove is a resort-within-a-resort with a semi-exclusive feeling, thanks to its position at a quieter end of the beach and a minimalist, sanctuary-esque lobby complete with lily ponds. The Cove's 22-story tower sits has 600 oversize suites—all with balconies facing the ocean—with a contemporary design, walk-in closets and large marble baths. Guests have exclusive use of The Cove Pool, an adults-only Vegas-style party pool; there’s also a large family-friendly pool that’s shared with the Reef Tower next door. There are multiple restaurants on property; notably, just opened Fish, Michelin-started Master Chef Jose Andrés’ fresh take on Bahamian fine dining. There are more options within the Atlantis complex, just a (sometimes substantial) walk away.
You're here because
You’re with a group (wedding party, extended family) that needs a lot of distractions, and you want someone else to take care of the details—and a relatively quiet escape from the Atlantis tumult.
The Moment
As you settle into your poolside daybed at The Cove Pool, the DJ kicks up the bass and you hear the first notes of your latest favorite. Peering over your sunglasses, you spot the rest of your party: they’ve found the gaming tables.
