What it is
An exquisite, garden-fringed sanctuary of Moroccan style, where each room is a standalone pavilion or maison (and many are stocked with a private pool.)
What it isn't
Missing a thing. You’ll have four unforgettable bars and restaurants to choose from on-site—including poolside sushi—plus a candlelit spa with hammams, two clay tennis courts with a French pro offering training, a fitness center, and more.
What we think
Celebs flock to Aman outposts across the globe for good reason; the brand has established itself as the ultimate getaway for perfectionists who champion privacy as much as aesthetics. Here, every guest will feel like a V.V.I.P. because there are no humble guest rooms…only staggeringly ornate individual pavilions and larger maisons that feel tailor-made for you and only you with plush Berber carpets and zellij tiles at every turn. The smallest option is a ginormous 1,883-square-foot Pavilion Bassin, where you’ll find a gurgling fountain in your private garden courtyard, wood-burning fireplace in the domed living room and king bed calling your name in the expansive primary suite. Want to live as large as a certain Kardashian? Go for the tucked away Al Hamra Maison, with its 12,163-square-foot floor plan, heated pool, two primary suites and a host awaiting your daily whims. Whichever you choose, each stay includes transfers from the Marrakech Airport and sumptuous breakfasts in your room or the buzzing main restaurant.
You're here because
You’re not a huge planner, and the hotel has put together a plethora of indelible experiences for their guests—such as golfing a circa 1930 course, helicoptering over the Atlas mountains, and camel rides over the otherworldly Agafay desert.
You never expected to be enchanted by a cocktail bar in Morocco, but sipping a Smoky Sour with Ardbeg whisky and turmeric in the glow of candles at The Bar, that’s exactly what you are: entranced, and undeniably intoxicated.
Restaurants & Bars
The Thai Restaurant - situated alongside the swimming pool, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Pool Terrace meanwhile is open for breakfast and lunch, overlooking the pool and adjacent golf course. Guests can also enjoy private dining in their Pavilion or Maison. Special dinners or buffets to celebrate a unique occasion can be arranged. Upon request, intimate dinners accompanied by local music can be organised in the Caidal Tent, a traditional and romantic venue situated in an olive grove. The Bar is ideal for casual dining, pre-dinner aperitifs and post-dinner nightcaps. Located just off Amanjena’s entranceway, the venue is airily cool in summer and warmly welcoming during winter with its open fireplace and ambient lighting. Housed within The Bar, The Fumoir offers a selection of cigars.
The southern outskirts of Marrakech, a mere seven minute drive from MACAAL, the local contemporary art museum.
