Park Hyatt Beijing

Tycoon Tower

What it is

Topping out a skyscraper from the 37th floor up, with a 59th story spa that sits above the clouds.

What it isn't

Phoning it in. Service is as good as it gets: you’ll have 24-hour room service, 24-hour concierges, shoe shines, dry cleaning and even limo transfers at your disposal.

What we think

When people imagine China as among the most tech-forward countries on the planet, they’re not wrong—and Park Hyatt Beijing is proof. All 246 streamlined rooms here have a PM2.5 air purification system, ensuring a mountain-fresh atmosphere in the heart of the city; 55-inch smart tv’s; heated floors; rain showers; and laptop chargers tucked within the safes. (Softer touches prevail, too, including 400-thread-count linens wrapping the down duvet and toiletries by Le Labo). Hit the 59th floor spa to swim in a 25-meter pool, chillax in steam rooms and saunas and whirlpools, and hit re-set for a night on the town.

You're here because

You appreciate a view as much as a falcon, and the hotel seems to hover above earth—with three restaurants on level 63 and above.

The Moment

You’ve never flown a drone, but you almost feel like one yourself in the 66th floor China Grill, thanks to 360-degree panoramas of the skyline below. But it’s not long before you find it’s impossible to keep your eyes on the view, with open ‘theatrical’ kitchens, a Crustacean station and a menu that makes you feel even higher (emotionally) than the vista out the window, from the Iberico ham that was acorn-fed and aged 48-months to the jasmine tea caramel creme brûlée.

Restaurants & Bars

China Grill- Specializing in premium meat, fish and seafood.

The Lounge - Part of the hotel lobby, The Lounge is a residential style.

China Bar - Vintage wines, champagnes, and classic martinis and cocktails.

Location

In central Beijing, a quick stroll from Tiananmen Square and across the Tonghui River from the Today Art Museum, the city’s first tailor-made for contemporary art.
