Six Senses Fort Barwara
Reinterpreted experience of royal, ancient India
What we think
Skylark only includes hotels that meet our stamp of approval. Our editorial review for this one isn’t ready yet — but we’re working on it! Below is the hotel’s own description.
Six Senses Fort Barwara is a two and a half hour drive from Jaipur and a 30 minute drive from Ranthambore National Park. Dating back to the 14th century this beautiful fort was originally owned by a Rajasthani Royal Family and it faces the Chauth ka Barwara Mandir temple. This significant conservation effort includes 48 suites and incorporates two palaces and two temples within the walled site. The design reinterprets the gracious and regal ambience of a bygone era. Three restaurants serve classic dishes and modern cuisine emphasizing locally sourced ingredients, together with a bar and lounge. A 30,000 square foot or 2,800 square meter Six Senses Spa and fitness center are located in the original womens palace and will feature Ayurvedic and personalized wellness programs. There are two swimming pools, banqueting areas, a retail boutique and a childrens club.
