New Delhi, India
What it is
A clean-lined, art-filled respite with a food hall, top-notch spa and garden-decked pool, plus India’s first gin bar.
What it isn't
Just a hotel. You can also book one of 129 Andaz Apartments, should you want to live more like a local here—with a washing machine and open kitchen, natch.
What we think
For anyone who imagines the vibrancy of India might get overwhelming, this is your stay. Rooms are as modern as they come: swathed in neutral hues and blonde woods, with thoughtful touches that make for a blissful stay (blackout curtains, pillow menus, and a gratis mini bar with locally-made snacks you can raid at your leisure). Foodies love that it has its own locavore food hall among the three on-site restaurants (this is the spot to order tandoori roasted corn with masala, lime and butter). And don’t miss Juniper, a gin bar with 35 G&T infusion options, from pink peppercorn to jasmine.
You're here because
The hotel keeps guest safety top of mind, with 24-hour security surveillance and power backup at-the-ready any hour of the day and night.
Ok, you’ll admit it. You’re more than a little jet-lagged. Which was why forcing yourself to hit the treadmill in the hotel’s 24/7 gym was all but required. But rewarding yourself with a hot volcanic stone massage in the Chakra-inspired spa? Now that was brilliant.
Restaurants & Bars
AnnaMaya - Modern European cuisine.
Juniper Bar - Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere at large communal bar tables, while interacting with our bartenders.
Because the hotel sits overlooking the planes coming and going from Indira Gandhi International Airport, globetrotters couldn’t be more conveniently located. It’ll take you about half an hour by car to get to Raj Ghat, where Gandhi himself was cremated in 1948.
