Poorly serviced. Langham hotels are famous for their indulgent staff; you’ll feel like a V.I.P. even before you step foot on the gleaming grounds.

What we think

An entry-level room here is a royal-worthy palace anywhere else. Deluxe Rooms begin at 452 square feet and are tricked out with high-tech amenities that include motorized curtains and motion-activated air conditioning, plus gleaming curated LED-lit minibars and marble-lined bathrooms with ovaline soaking tubs. For an eye-popping stay, we love the One Bedroom Suites for their hulking 1,173 square foot floor plans with panoramas of the city from floor to ceiling windows, as well as their access to the 59th floor Langham Club, where guests are treated to everything from over the top breakfasts to afternoon tea.

From your plump velvet banquette on the 61st floor at T’Ang Court, you’re not sure what’s more delicious: the city views out the floor-to-ceiling windows or this lobster bisque studded with crispy rice.
