A Star Reborn

Mandarin Oriental Singapore

A Star Reborn

What it is

A waterside jewel undergoing a major renovation, with seven toothsome bars and restaurants, a gleaming spa, and a cabana-lined outdoor pool.

What it isn't

Hands off. Mandarin Oriental’s service is nothing less than exquisite, with doting staff that includes in-the-know concierges, 24-hour security, and room service whenever you get peckish.

What we think

When you stay at Mandarin Oriental Singapore, you’ll feel like you own Singapore. In every single room category, you’ll find luxury abounds: including floor to ceiling windows that peer out on the cityscape or sea, spa-like bathrooms with granite galore, goose down bedding, and a pillow menu for your comfiest sleep ever. Each room is a minimum 355 square feet; for more expansive digs, we love the 602 square foot Premier Rooms for their seating area and desk with the most envy-inducing Zoom backdrop: the Singapore skyline. Or treat yourself to a Marina Bay Suite—well worth a splurge for its private terrace, separate living room and a walk-in shower and soaking tub in the bath. Bliss. While you’re here, be sure to stop in at the spa for one of their custom oil rose quartz massages or a clay wrap that’s practically guaranteed to make you feel brand new.

You're here because

Mandarin Oriental staff have curated a host of exquisite adventures for their guests, whether you want to visit filming locations from “Crazy Rich Asians,” whip up dim sum with their chef, join a running club along the water, or so much more.

The Moment

After a dip in the al fresco pool at twilight, you’re not ready for the evening to end…so you wander over to the rooftop Bay @ 5 bar for a cocktail in the twinkling lights of night. Your order? A sushi boat of maki and nigiri for two (for one!), mango sorbet, and a Singapore Sling…of course.
