COMO Metropolitan Bangkok
Modern Marvel
What it is
An airy retreat with 169 rooms and suites, a spa fitted with everything from steam rooms to a lap pool, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and much more.
What it isn't
Hands off. Guests are treated to digital butlers, valet, daily housekeeping, turndown, and laundry service (including dry cleaning and pressing).
What we think
Como was spot-on when they hired interior architect Kathryn Kng to design their guest rooms, which combine both eastern and western beauty—Thai silk here, limestone there—in one entrancing envelope. The “starting” room category begins at 280 square feet, and they’re equipped with custom furniture that maximize the floor plan, Egyptian cotton linen beds, rainfall walk-in showers, Nespresso machines, and more. Need even more room to roam? The two-floor Penthouse Suite well deserves its name, thanks to its 1,615 square foot floor plan that includes a full living space and kitchen area.
You're here because
Staff have curated access to incredible, only-in-Bangkok experiences, including Muay Thai boxing and excursions to Wat Arun, Temple of Dawn.
The Moment
Chef Pim Techamuanvivit has earned five Michelin stars over the years for his exquisite Thai restaurant, Nahm. Tonight, from your table beside the terrace pool’s fountain, you have one bite of your Southern turmeric curry and crab…and declare he deserves a whole galaxy.
