Bangkok, Thailand
Waldorf Astoria Bangkok
Urban Elegance
What it is
A sleek and sculptural tower with sumptuous guest rooms, a 16th floor infinity pool, glass walled spa, and five sceney restaurants and bars.
What it isn't
Poorly serviced. You’ll have a personal concierge at your disposal to assist in your stay.
What we think
Waldorf Astoria may have been born in Manhattan, but it lives especially large—New York-style—at its outpost in Thailand’s Big Apple. Guest rooms are in the upper floors (read: equipped with great views) and begin at a generous 538 square feet. We particularly love the King Deluxe Room Park View option for its panorama over the verdant Royal Bangkok Sports Club from floor to ceiling glass windows, and the King One Bedroom Astoria Suite, which is equipped with an expansive living room a fully separate living space large enough to host a cocktail party in style. While you’re here, be sure to indulge in the Thai spa; treatment rooms include rain showers and private steam rooms—no schlepping to common areas necessary.
You're here because
You like to stay in after days on the town, and the hotel has more than enough dining (and drinking) options to satisfy.
The Moment
You’ve treated yourself to afternoon teas all over the world, but something about Peacock Alley takes it to another level. Perhaps it’s the dazzling view out the glass walls, or the lobster roll with sriracha mayo. You think even the late Queen Elizabeth II would approve.
