Koh Samui, Thailand
Banyan Tree Samui
Beachfront Paradise
What it is
Ringing a powdery white beach and turquoise seas, this all-villa, all-inclusive truly has everything—including a hydrothermal spa, two pools and five exquisite restaurants.
What it isn't
Tasteless. The restaurants really are fabulous. Want proof? Saffron is included in the Michelin Guide.
What we think
You won’t want for anything at Banyan Tree Koh Samui…your personal Villa Host concierge will see to it. And just as you might expect, each and every villa option here (yes, they’re all villas) is eye-popping. Even the “starting” category—a 1,399 square foot Deluxe Pool Villa—was made for TV with its regionally inspired architecture, glimmering mosaic lined infinity pool, and terrace fringed by lush jungles. While we could never pick a favorite room option here, the Wellbeing Sanctuary Pool Villa is phenomenal, thanks to its ocean views, a heated jet pool (in addition to a private infinity pool) and wellness perks like steep spa discounts, in-room workout gear, and daily nutrition platters so you’ll never get hangry.
You're here because
Little ones are pampered, too; there’s even a Kids’ Club for tots aged 4 to 12 where they can do arts and crafts, learn Thai dance, play games and more.
The Moment
You indulged in a floating breakfast this morning—served on a tray in your private pool overlooking the ocean—and didn’t think any meal could live up to that experience. But tonight at the Michelin Guide Saffron, you’re wowed yet again; you might never forget this pho pia pu (crab meat spring roll), wrapped in an edible flower.
