Rendezvous Bay, Anguilla
Cuisinart Golf Resort & Spa
What it is
A blue-and-white dream of 91 suites and 7 villas on a pristine seafront stretch of Rendezvous Bay.
What it isn't
Boh-ring. Beyond the golf, activities on-site include glass-bottom kayak rentals, night-lit tennis courts, aqua-cycling...the list goes on.
What we think
For anyone who adores Greece but just can’t take the travel time, Cuisinart Golf Resort & Spa ranks. With whitewashed architecture inspired by Mediterranean seafront resorts, the Anguillian hideaway is also a fount of white-on-white interiors. Each is stocked with OTT (over the top) touches, including Frette linens, Rusk & L’Occitane toiletries and built in cabinetry to corral your sartorial finery. The on-site seafront 18-hole championship golf course—designed by two-time British Open champ Greg Norman, no less—is just as laudable, and overlooks postcard-perfect views of St. Maarten. After a round, hit the organic spa for inventive treatments such as heated bamboo massages and pina colada sugar scrubs.
You're here because
Honestly? Even in the Caribbean, you need a pool, and a photogenic pool at that. This one is every bit as stunning as the sea beyond it, lined in Italian-made Smania cabanas, teak lounges and—for kiddies—a new Splash Pad that puts waterparks back home to shame. Bonus: the pool menu includes all manner of frozen drinks, from passionfruit coladas to mango daiquiris.
You’ve never been fully satisfied by resort fare—until now. Among the four restaurants helmed by Executive Chef Alan Larch? New, mosaic-lined (ahem) Mosaic, where your order makes you salivate the moment you say it out loud: roasted marrow bone with toasted sourdough, oak wood-fired chorizo pizza, and a seafood platter for two—complete with rock lobster, oysters, shrimp and langoustine. You’re not ashamed to admit it’s actually for one. Sharing is caring—unless you’re on vacay.
On a frothy, white sand stretch of beach fronting Rendezvous Bay, you’re just about an hour from St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana Airport by car and ferry (and yes, the resort will happily arrange your transfer).
