Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort

Beachfront Bounty

What it is

An expansive newly revamped paen to chillaxing, with a holistic spa, adults-only pool and a buzzing casino, plus a palapa-lined white sand beach.

What it isn't

Just for grown-ups. The pools here include a de facto 8,000-square-foot waterpark complete with a waterslide, swim-up bar and even water volleyball.

What we think

If you want to check-in to paradise and never have to leave, Hyatt Regency Aruba may just be your spot. The resort was planned with everythinggg. A juice bar with poke bowls and acai smoothies on the boardwalk? Check. A 221-slot-machine and 13-gaming-bar casino? Check. There are seven (seven!) on-site bars and restaurants, including Dining Under the Stars dinners that are guaranteed to have your Insta-followers salivating. But we’d wager the ultimate reason to stay here are the 359 rooms themselves, which are huge by Caribbean standards (starting at 380 square feet) and tricked out with beachy interiors (ombre turquoise curtains; jute touches), plus splurgey-feeling extras, like Starbucks coffee and tea for the coffee maker and Pharmacopia toiletries. Book the aptly-named Oceanfront Luxury Suite for 1,850-square-feet of beachy bliss, including two furnished balconies and a steam shower that feels nearly as good as a soak in the adjacent sea.

You're here because

The adults-only pool we mentioned? It’s nearly 5,000 feet large, with limestone walls, negative edges and saline water, plus bougainvillea-shrouded cabanas. A.k.a., it’s heaven on earth.

The Moment

It’s somewhat ironic that they named one of their restaurants Ruins by the Sea, because its menu is so full of the ocean’s treasure. Tonight, you go for the jumbo shrimp pasta on pesto pappardelle, with a spongy tres leche cake for dessert. See? Treasure.
