Harbour Island, Bahamas
Pink Sands Resort
Peachy Paradise
What it is
A 1951 classic throwback, where the pink sand beach really *is* pink.
What it isn't
An overwhelming mega resort. There are only 25 picture-perfect British Colonial bungalows here, and seamless service to match.
What we think
Long before Instagram influencers started pinkifying the world, posting pink champagne and pink ranunculus in equal measure, there was Pink Sands Resort. The scion of Old Bahamian Glamour sits on a #nofilter-needed pink sand and turquoise sea beach, with 20 acres of gardens that flourish with frangipani and hibiscus. Rooms are simply designed—stocked with private patios and ocean views—which is the entire point (before you ask: yes, they have central air and ceiling fans). Gratis amenities include butler beverage delivery service. Aaaaaaah.
You're here because
You know that once you’ve exhausted the on-site activities (paddleboarding, tennis, and snorkeling the crystalline water), they’ll eagerly arrange a charter to do anything else. Bonefishing, anyone?
The Moment
If Humphrey Bogart himself walked in to Malcolm 51, the hotel’s British Colonial restaurant, you wouldn’t be surprised. That they have an on-point Kansas City Strip steak and local lobster has you leaning in to your parter to whisper: “We’ll always have Pink Sands…”
Restaurants & Bars
Malcolm 51 - Elegant fine-dining cuisine and unique cocktails
Blue Bar & Restaurant - Casual all-day beachside dining
Location
On Harbour Island’s idyllic Chapel Street, and more importantly, directly on the water.
