What we think

Translated to English, El Conquistador means The Conqueror…and that’s exactly what they’ve done here. Every amenity feels like a win, especially for families. There’s Coqui Water Park, complete with massive waterslides and a lazy river; hardcourt tennis; four pristine al fresco pools; and the private Palomino Island, which any guest can hop a boat to visit to stretch out on bleach white sand whilst sipping frozen cocktails. We don’t imagine you’ll be spending too much time in your guest room, but each one is as comfy as they come, with a mini fridge, satellite TV, private balcony and spacious 560 square foot (or more) floor plan. For more modern interior design, book a room in Las Casitas Village, which was built on a 300-foot-hill overlooking the main resort. Its 25 villas are all the spot to find in-room kitchens, Caribbean Sea views and—blessedly—air conditioning.
