St. Barths
Hotel Le Toiny
An Intimate Tropical Hideaway
What it is
It’s a calm and tranquil oasis, nestled into the hillside above Anse de Toiny in St. Barth’s.
What it isn't
Kids are welcome but given the intimacy and focus on rejuvenation and relaxation, it may not be the ideal “family vacation” spot.
What we think
High on the hillside above Toiny Beach, this intimate boutique hotel is the successful marriage of French and Caribbean sensibilities: refined and sophisticated, but far from being dull or uptight. The all-villa property only has 22 tin-roofed, colonial-style, self-standing bungalows, affording guests complete privacy and an unparalleled level of attention. Service is invisible, yet present right when you begin to think you’d like something. Breakfast, for example, is served on the terrace of each guest’s villa at the time of the guest’s choosing, but it appears in miraculous fashion: meticulously arranged croissants, French butter and fruit compotes are delivered seemingly by elves.
The cluster of villas are perched on the bluff, so there is no direct beach access from your room, but the shore is available to guests via a path down the hillside. Swimming is permitted, depending on the water conditions (the waves get a bit rough at times.) The villas, however, all have private lava stone pools on their planked terraces and there is a huge, heated infinity pool just off the lobby.
Restaurant Le Gaïac is the property’s open-air, popular French restaurant, where the menu follows seasonal cues and mixes refined French technique with local flavor. It’s done perfectly - expectedly so, as the property is a member of Relais & Châteaux.
You're here because
You want an exclusively private and intimate stay in tropical paradise. You’re looking for rejuvenation and relaxation with the option for sports and activities. You also want incredible food and uninterrupted views.
The Moment
The Red Flag - the hotel’s clever “Do Not Disturb” sign - is raised on the gate of your villa. Feeling as though you’re the only ones on the island, you look out from your private pool deck: all you can see are the tops of the palm trees winding down to the shore, waves crashing on the reef, and the cerulean sea sparkling as it reaches out to the horizon.
Restaurants & Bars
Restaurant Le Toiny - The signature restaurant offering a unique approach to your dream meal. From a lobster emultion and prawn tortellini to Mahi Mahi served with a cauliflower, caper and raisin purée, the talented chefs will be your guide through this magical journey that will be indeed the highlight of one of your Saint Barth’s dining experiences.
The Beach Club - For lunch, hotel guests and visitors (by reservation only) seeking a leisurely lunch or a simple day of relaxation, can enjoy the Beach Club. Hidden on a secluded beach in the shade of grapes or palapas, the Beach Club offers a truly relaxing "feet in the sand" experience and spectacular views of Toiny Bay. The Beach Club is accessible by private shuttle from the hotel and features a bar, a boutique, and a beachfront swimming pool for refreshing dips under the warm Caribbean sun.
