Belle Mont Farm
Natural Living in the Caribbean
What it is
Hillside haven with farm-to-table ethos.
What it isn't
Ideal for beach-lovers. The water is a ten-minute drive and St. Kitts’s best beaches even further.
What we think
Belle Mont Farm offers a different kind of Caribbean vacation, one that finds pleasure at the intersection of luxury and sustainability. A 400-acre estate nestled between Mt. Liamuiga and the sea, the resort comprises 84 villas with terraces and infinity pools that look out to the ocean. Windows can be opened completely to let in the warm island breezes, and alfresco bathtub lets guests soak amid the blissful surroundings. The design, by architect Bill Bensley of Aman fame, pairs elegantly with the St. Kitts location: Dark wood floors and beds offset white and teal wallpaper, and natural light dominates the space. Belle Mont’s commitment to sustainable living, pioneered by founder Vel Kempadoo, means exceptional farm-to-table cuisine, activities that focus on the natural surroundings rather than sun and sand, and a laudable—but rarely noticeable—emphasis on reducing waste. (You’re unlikely to see a single piece of plastic your entire stay.)
You're here because
You want a tropical vacation experience, but you’re not a beach person. You care about the environment and the source of the food you eat.
Stepping into a hot bath amidst a chorus of birdsong and the playful squeaks of Vervet monkeys, you gaze at the green paradise before you: farmland, tropical flora and sweeping mists leading up to the cone of Mt. Liamuiga.
