Soufriere, St. Lucia
Anse Chastanet
Tropical Paradise
What it is
A 600-acre estate with 49 one-of-a-kind rooms, two pristine beaches, a waterfront spa and jaw-dropping views of the Piton mountain’s twin peaks.
What it isn't
Equipped with cable TV and air conditioning. But seriously, this is literally paradise; you won’t miss either.
What we think
Honeymooners—and anyone in desperate need of a romance-injection—can’t do better than Anse Chastanet. Many Premium rooms here sit entirely open to the UNESCO World Heritage Site view of the Piton’s, and each one is adorned in St. Lucia-appropriate style, including locally woven madras textiles and island teak and cedar wood finishes. All rooms are stocked with king sized beds, bathrooms with two sinks (see? The epitome of romance), Molton Brown toiletries and twice daily housekeeping. But what we truly adore here is the service: every guest is treated like a megawatt celebrity with plenty of complimentary perks, from the manager’s cocktail receptions at the beach bar to the chocolate sensory tastings and Saint Lucian rum mixology classes. #Treatyoself has a whole new meaning at Anse Chastanet.
You're here because
You won’t need to leave the premises to experience all manner of St. Lucian delights, including windsurfing, paddleboarding, hiking 12-miles of jungle, snorkeling immaculate turquoise coves and so much more.
The Moment
It’s not often you get to dine in a tree house, so when you see the resort’s Treehouse Restaurant, you beeline for it instantly. At sunset, under the leafy canopy, only one thing is more delicious than the view of the Caribbean sea—and that’s the prosciutto wrapped shrimp with cranberry-papaya relish before you. Divine.
