What it is
A modern 13-story gem with 75 sleek rooms, a Nordic spa, locavore restaurant and a rooftop bar.
What it isn't
Ye olde Austria. Yes, you’re surrounded by the age-old Alps, but this is a very contemporary version…no dirndl required.
What we think
If you could sleep in a postcard sprung to life, this would be it. Every single guest room has sweeping panoramic views of the Tyrolean Alps—many from floor to ceiling glass windows. Book a 269-square-foot “Panorama Classic” room for a jaw-dropping view of Innsbruck, efficient spa-like bathroom, zippy free wi-fi, and perks like a minibar and robes for lounging around after the day’s exploits. Want to have an even-more free-range experience? Try the “Panorama Suite,” which comes with a 700 square foot floor plan—including a separate living space with its own massage chair, deep, egg-shaped soaking tub and even a water bed in the bedroom. It’s worth splurging on breakfast daily, thanks to a bottomless spread of deliciousness ranging from muesli to egg and cheese platters.
You're here because
You love nothing more than a rooftop bar on vacation, and this one has perfected the classics: down to a gin and tonic menu that allows you to mix your preferred gin (Austrian? Scottish? German?) with your choice of tonic, including the local Alpine Larchen.
The only thing better than the views from the floor to ceiling windows at Weitsicht, the hotel’s buzzing restaurant, are the on-point lunch offerings. Cabbage rolls with minced beef in bacon sauce, with potato-celery mousseline? Only in Austria.

Straddling the Innsbruck train station, a mere five blocks from the 16th century Hofburg Innsbruck palace. It’s so ornate, even Versailles is jealous.
