What we think

To create the ultimate ski lodge, the recipe is clear: mix wood-ceilinged rooms with decadent upholstery fabrics and, of course, plenty of faux fur, all overlooking jaw-dropping mountain views. That’s what you’ll get here at Les Neiges, where even the beginning room category is ginormous (376 square feet for a Superior Room). Our favorite room options here, though, are unequivocally the Prestige Junior Suites, which include private terraces and living rooms, and the Suites Les Neiges, where you’ll come home to a flickering fire and cozy sloped ceilings sheathed in wood beams within a boundless 2,217 square foot floor plan.

The Moment

Settled by the floor to ceiling windows at Fouquet’s, the hotel’s outpost of the famed 1899 Parisian brasserie, you feel like you’re dining with French celebs. And you are. But the menu is what truly takes your breath away (especially the grilled blue lobster with celery risotto: heaven on a plate).
