Audrieu, France
Chateau d'Audrieu
Castle Living
What it is
An 18th century château reborn for today’s glitterati, with a Sothys spa, heated al fresco pool, petanque court, 61 acres of gardens, and so much more.
What it isn't
Hangry. Dining options abound, whether you want to treat yourself to dishes by Michelin-level Chef Samuel Gaspar at Le Séran or take a Norman-inspired picnic in the garden.
What we think
All of the 29 rooms and suites here are exquisite—and worthy of cinema. You truly can’t go wrong, with exposed beams, French windows that open onto expansive verdant grounds, and storybook woodwork that is often adorned in gold leaf. Classic Rooms feel indulgent but begin at 269 square feet; for even more room to roam, book a Junior Suite, which we love for their deep soaking tubs and roomy 430 square foot floor plans. Whatever room you pick, you’ll be pampered with zippy free Wifi, AC, satellite TVs, curated mini bars, and so much more.
You're here because
The hotel is a member of the ultra-coveted Relais & Châteaux collection. Translation: expect the best service and most beautiful stay of your life.
The Moment
You treated yourself to a cinnamon and ginger body scrub today at the Sothys spa—and left feeling brand spanking new. The only possible way to top such a delightful afternoon? A negroni in the sun at the hotel bar.
