Hotel Crillon le Brave

Fairytale Respite

What it is

A 17th century village transformed into the ultimate Provençal retreat, with cinematic guest rooms, a spa tucked within stone-walled former stables, and garden-flanked pool.

What it isn't

Hangry. The hotel’s restaurants are a Francophile’s dream, where Chef Adrien Brunet churns out dishes like lamb wellington with nut-brown buttered polenta.

What we think

The vision we get when we think of Provence—all rolling lavender fields and ancient stone villages—is alive and well at Crillon le Brave, a hamlet originally founded in the 12th century. When the hotel touts “poetry on all floors,” they aren’t kidding…each guest room option is a fairytale sprung to life. Even the starter “Superior Room” category is as charming as Catherine Deneuve, with their antique and floral pattern-stocked 269 square-foot-and-up floor plans that peer out over the Provençal village rooftops. We also j’adore the Superior Ventoux rooms, many with exposed ceiling beams and French doors you can fling open to reveal vineyards below. Larger options like the Suite Deluxe Ventoux are slightly more modern, the types of spaces Pablo Picasso himself might book— with streamlined furniture in the living room and abstract art gracing the walls of the 699-square-foot to 753-square-foot floor plans.

You're here because

Staffers have put together movie-worthy Provence experiences, including picnics to enjoy among wildflower fields and insider meetings with the vintners of nearby wineries.

The Moment

Life is so blissful here that you can’t say you need a spa treatment…but you want one. And blessedly, their Tata Harper-partner spa has rolled out some divine options. Today, after a bike ride through the lavender fields, you’re indulging in the best: a quench and cocoon facial and décolletage massage. Only in France.

Restaurants & Bars

La Table du Ventoux - simple, seasonal and light cuisine inspired by local meridional products served on the terrace or under the glass roofed dining area

La Madeleine - Provencal cuisine for a cozy evening or a romantic dinner served in the magnificent room or on the terrace, weather permitting.
