Ginormous. The inn holds only 11 rooms and two suites. Translation? You’ll be doted upon.
What we think
They say that when you fall in love, you “just know.” That’s exactly what happened to Chef Alain Ducasse in 1994, when he was whirring around Provence by motorbike, and happened upon this olive grove and lavender-dotted property owned by a master potter. Ducasse bought the place, then set about creating the most delicious experience he could for himself and his guests. You’ll find a nearly 10 acre garden, terrace with a panorama of the surrounding landscape, and (no surprise) a Michelin starred restaurant that culls ingredients from the surrounding plots. Guest rooms are just as delectable, but they’re also comfortable—and equipped with DVD players, AC, minibars, bluetooth speakers, and coffee machines. We particularly love the Olive Suite for its fanciful woodwork and separate living room complete with a fireplace and dining space.
