While you’re here, be sure to stop in at the Sisley Spa, which was modeled after the circa 1148 Sénanque Abbey but houses amenities no Cistercian monk could dream up, including a hammam and sensory showers.

You’re bringing your little one, and kids are majorly doted upon here, with a staff magician, treasure hunts and games on the terrace.

There is nowhere on earth you’d rather be than the terrace at L’Orangerie, sipping champagne and watching the twilight unfurl, pink and dusky, over the Luberon valley. “Another glass?” your waiter asks. “Mais Oui.”
