What we think

Skylark only includes hotels that meet our stamp of approval. Our editorial review for this one isn’t ready yet — but we’re working on it! Below is the hotel’s own description.

Built in the 18th century by August the Strong, as a pledge of love to his mistress, and faithfully restored in 1995, Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is a beautiful combination of historic glory and contemporary elegance. Directly located in the very heart of Dresden’s historic city centre, the hotel offers 182 rooms, 31 suites and culinary excellence from restaurant Intermezzo, the Palais Bistro, Café Vestibül and the award-winning Karl May Bar. The historic inner courtyard is an oasis of relaxation during summer and turns into a sparkling ice rink in wintertime. The Taschenbergpalais has its own pool, and spa lounge and fitness centre. In addition, there are six elegant conference rooms on the Bel Etage, a divisible meeting and ballroom for up to 500 people and a luxury catering service in and around Dresden.
