Paros, Greece
Parilio Hotel Paros
Artful Retreat
What it is
A 33-suite hideaway with serene, art-stocked rooms; a two Michelin-starred chef helming the restaurants; gleaming outdoor pool scene; and an earthy spa.
What it isn't
Boring. Guest experiences here include whirls over the sea on their private catamaran and behind-the-scenes tours of island villages with expert local guides.
What we think
If Pablo Picasso were looking for a Grecian getaway, we think he’d book Parilio. It has embraced art full-throttle, starting with the 322 square foot Aurora Suite, where you’ll find woven wall hangings and an oatmeal color palette, robes, and slippers, as well as marble finishes in the spa-like bath, and a private terrace fitted with daybeds ideal for soaking in the Paros sun. To sprawl out further, consider the 430 square-foot Sun Suite, which has its own private pool, a shaded terrace, living space, and rainfall shower…a perfect place to suds up after a day on the sand. Did we mention all suites here have (phew) air conditioning? Not even Zeus had it this good. While you’re here, don’t miss the grape extract scrub in the spa; you’ll emerge like a butterfly from the chrysalis.
You're here because
The hotel is a member of the much-beloved Design Hotels network. Translation? It’s stunning and Instagram-worthy at every turn.
The Moment
Chef Thanos Feskos has garnered two Michelin stars in his illustrious kitchen career, and both are shining bright at Parilio. Tonight from your poolside table at Parōn, it’s a not-so-humble salad sending you into outer orbit: Tsalafouti (cream cheese), strawberries, tomato water, aromatic olive oil and sourdough garlic bread. Aaah.
