Santo Pure Oia Suites & Villas
The Suite Life
What it is
An all-suite property perched above the Aegean with five (yes, five) pools and a spa inspired by the region.
What it isn't
For kids. The property is devoted to guests 12-years-old and older, so leave wee ones at home.
What we think
If you’ve ever wanted to check-in to a seafront Santorini hotel and never leave, this would be the place to do it. All 55 suites (and two two-bedroom villas) are fitted with kitchenettes, jacuzzis, and minibars, making them more comfy for the long-term than most. Book one of their brand new Wellness Cave Junior Suites for a room that feels, yes, like one of Santorini’s iconic cloud-white cave dwellings, plus a private al fresco pool. Our other favorite rooms, the Sea View Suites, have sun-swept daybeds and jacuzzis bubbling on their verandas. Either way, you’ll be as coddled as a Grecian god, thanks to in-room amenities like espresso machines, a bottle of wine and sweets at-the-ready after you check-in, and guest services like turn-down, valet, and a 24-hour bellboy.
You're here because
You’re an ardent locavore, and the hotel’s outdoor Alios Ilios restaurant is devoted to the region’s best, from organic olive oil from Crete to octopus pulled from the waters below. (You’ll want to shove a few bottles of the thyme honey into your suitcase, and you wouldn’t be the first).
You felt your shoulders drop the second you strolled into Anassa Spa, where cryotherapy, a steam bath and sauna soothe all ills. But it was the outdoor gazebo where you’ll be having your red clay body mask and Aegean seaweed wrap that really has you rethinking that flight back home.
Restaurants & Bars
Alios Ilios Restaurant - Greek gastronomy
Pool Bar - Masterfully mixed cocktails and delectable Greece-inspired drinks such as Chios Rhapsody
Romantic Bar - Santorini and Cretan craft beers, premium whiskies and liqueurs from around the world and awarded wine labels
A hilltop just a five minute walk from Oia village, where stopping by Lolita’s Gelato is all but required. Another must-see: the cliffside 15th-century Byzantine Castle Ruins, arguably the most Instagrammed sight on the island, especially at sunset.
