Just about hitting the pub. The on-site gym is exemplary, with personal trainers and a Peloton. They’ll even plan a running route through adjacent Killarney National Park, if that’s more your speed.

What we think

When Marie O’Sullivan managed to take ownership of The Ross Hotel in the 1940s as a young, single female, she could never have known that her stewardship—and future children and grandchildren—would not only continue her topnotch hospitality, but go on to expand it, opening The Killarney Park luxury hotel neighboring her original property. The Killarney Park exudes everything she could have dreamt of for her future guests, including topnotch service and luxe amenities, including an eight treatment room spa. Guest rooms are sumptuous, too, with a palette of supple silvers and blues. We love the 350 square foot Classic Guest Rooms for their fridges stocked with still and sparkling water, robes and slippers, and gratis daily newspapers; and Signature Suites, which have rainfall showers, soaking tubs and flickering fireplaces within their 500 square foot floor plans.

Kiddos are doted on (perhaps no surprise, given the family angle). Littles can expect pint-sized robes and slippers as well as loaner books and board games.

The Moment

After swimming in the immaculate indoor pool, you #treatyoself to some spa treatments: a Balinese hot stone massage and a detox body wrap with green tea balm. Bliss.

Restaurants & Bars

The Peregrine - Expect a relaxing ambience combined with exceptional original cuisine that celebrates Kerry’s finest produce. A combination of comfortable banquettes and atmospheric horseshoe booths make this the perfect setting for romantic dinners as well as those intimate gatherings with friends and family.

The Garden Bar - For a dining experience you can choose from an impressive selection of creative salads, gourmet sandwiches, meat, fish and garden dishes created with local produce and the best of the season.

The Terrace - The perfect spot for “al fresco” dining on those lazy Summer days. Overlooking the hotel Gardens, this space is comfortable even when the evening temperature drops thanks to a heated patio. Our outside bar serves beautifully crafted Gin Cocktails, the best of wines and other classics.

The Lane - An all-day food menu with with exciting bar food and a cocktail compilation served up with a delicious soundtrack that changes from day to night.

Neighboring Killarney Park, an 8 minute drive from Ross Castle—a 15th century structure on the shores of Lough Lane that you can still tour (BYO crown).
