Il Tornabuoni Hotel

Royal Life

What it is

A 13th century palace transformed into a stunning 62-room hotel with five unforgettable restaurants and bars (one rooftop), in-room massages, and stellar in-room amenities.

What it isn't

Poorly serviced. Practically anything you could need is here thanks to the staff, which include topnotch concierges, personal trainers, babysitters, personal shoppers…even a flower designer.

What we think

You won’t want for anything in these guest rooms, which are stocked as if for the Italian royalty that once lived in this manse with their ultra luxe amenities—including pillow menus, Marshall speakers, coffee makers and tea kettles, and even wine cellars (the latter available in the suites.) But these rooms are more than just their functionality. Each one is sumptuously adorned in Italian Renaissance-inspired color palettes, fanciful wallpapers, monogrammed bed linens, and unexpected art. The “beginning” room category, 215 square foot 1 King Bed rooms, would satisfy Wes Anderson with their chevron wallpaper and fringed draperies; while the Lucrezia Suite takes it to another level entirely with its frescoed ceiling and duo of gleaming gilt canopy beds (not to mention your own private champagne cellar. Pop!).

You're here because

You’re bringing the kiddos with you to live la dolce vita, and the hotel offers on call babysitters, kiddo amenities, and little-one-approved dishes like housemade focaccia.

The Moment

As dusk settles over the city, you begin to see stars glimmering above from your table at the rooftop Butterfly Terrace. It’s magical, but it’s the live jazz musicians that have you pinching yourself. This night is too extraordinary to be real.
