An art-stocked modernist retreat fronting a beach on the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a Michelin starred restaurant, seafood joint by the outdoor pool, and manicured private garden.
Ginormous. There are 47 rooms here: small enough to feel like a boutique hotel, but large enough for myriad amenities.
Every guest room option at Hotel Byron, built around a villa that was originally constructed in the early 1900s, looks like it was ripped from the pages of Elle Decor’s Italy issue. There are richly cushioned headboards; x-benches; bedside sconces; and floor to ceiling window treatments that add to the palatial effect. For a private terrace, it’s worth booking the Junior Suite; we love that it has an LED-lit, sculptural headboard wall more akin to an art piece than a bed (cue Instagram Reels) and a cloud-like tête-à-tête that’s the perfect place to tuck in for some much-deserved R&R… after a refreshing dip in the al fresco pool, of course.
The hotel features so many contemporary artworks it’s more like a museum, with pieces by Italian art world stars Massimiliano Pelletti and Valerio Berruti.
You’ve been blessed to dine at plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants, but tonight’s dinner at La Magnolia—which feels a bit like being inside an oyster shell, thanks to its abundant curves—is another level. Most unforgettable? The dry-aged blackspot seabream with marinated fennel and Amalfi lemon.
Ristorante La Magnolia - a poolside restaurant highlighting seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and produce in elegant, sophisticated yet approachable dishes.
