Bvlgari Hotel Milano
A Hidden Oasis in the Heart of Milan
What it is
Buzzy and sleek but still intimate. You'll feel as if you've stepped into Milan's chicest members club.
What it isn't
Chock-full of family-friendly features.
What we think
There’s something about Milan that makes you want to dress a little sharper, put on some big sunglasses and listen to your heels click on Italian marble. If you’re playing the part of a chic Milanese (or if you really are one), the Bvlgari should be your pied-à-terre. Tucked away on a side street between Brera and Montenapoleone, the 61-room hideaway is housed in a former 18th-century palazzo. But banish all thoughts of Old World opulence: Antonio Citterio’s interiors are contemporary and refined, with furniture from Flexform and B&B Italia and a subdued palette of mocha, saffron and green. Locals frequent the buzzy Il Bar and its garden, a gloriously leafy setting for an aperitivo or post-dinner cocktail. The rooms are serene, residential and flooded with light, thanks to the oversize windows with views to the garden.
You're here because
You want a hotel that’s like a pair of designer sunglasses: sexy and stylish on the outside, but allowing you to retreat in privacy.
The Moment
You slip into the carved stone tub for a hot bath, with the window flung open and the curtains blowing in the breeze, and a freshly mixed negroni perched on the table beside you.
