Casa Cipriani Milano

Chic in the City

What it is

A 15-room hideaway inspired by British gentleman’s clubs, with two exquisite restaurants and a spa with a cedar Finnish sauna and hammam.

What it isn't

Ginormous. But in such a storied country, who wants to stay in an endless business hotel?

What we think

Italians are not easily impressed. But Milan has a new jaw dropper in the form of Casa Cipriani Milano, designed by detail obsessed Florence architect Michele Bonan. Each and every room is as carefully tailored as a custom Ermenegildo Zegna suit—complete with herringbone oak floors, walnut boiserie wall paneling, Italian bed linens, black and white photographs of ascendent business tycoons, and gleaming chandeliers made in Venice by Venini, founded in 1921. Superior rooms start at 345 square feet, so if you’re traveling with a crowd (or even a particularly well outfitted spouse) consider a 440-square-foot Premier Room, complete with a walk-in rain shower and Cipollino marble finishes in the spa-like bathroom. To feel like Milanese fashion royalty, you can’t do any better than the Executive Suite—the space we’d imagine HBO’s Succession characters would book in a heartbeat.

You're here because

You’ve been slightly obsessed with anything Cipriani since you first stepped foot in the brand’s Harry’s Bar in Venice, where Ernest Hemingway was a regular tippler.

The Moment

From your supple leather chair in the third floor’s Club Restaurant, you feel like the king of the castle. Maybe it’s your bellini talking…or your prime panorama over the lush adjacent Indro Montanelli gardens.

Restaurants & Bars

Bar Arrigo - Offers its guests an intimate and refined place, ideal for an informal meal or an aperitif with friends.

Cipriani Restaurant - The menu offers classic dishes from the Cipriani tradition.

Socialista Lounge - Socialista is inspired by the eclectic architecture of old Havana, with European colonial influences that blend harmoniously with 20th century modernity.

Location

Straddling Indro Montanelli Gardens in Milan’s Porta Venezia neighborhood, a 14 minute drive from Milan Linate Airport.
