Palazzo Fiuggi

Estate of Bliss

What it is

A historic and luxe garden-flanked spa on 20 hilltop acres, with a food program by Michelin superstar Chef Heinz Beck, 1936 golf course, and wellness-oriented treatments galore.

What it isn't

Granola. This is a particularly sumptuous version of health, from the twinkling Murano chandeliers overhead to the circa 1900 hand-painted frescoes.

What we think

Looking for a pinch-me spa retreat that feels too good to be true? This recently reborn grande dame is it. The beginning room category—Charme Rooms—start at 322 square feet, and are fitted with herringbone floors, paneled walls and a serene color palette of silvers and cerulean blues. The Imperial Suite is worth a splurge, thanks to its 592 square foot floor plan, private terrace, and spa-like bathroom. But honestly, if you’re here, you won’t be spending much time in your room: the Palazzo famously abounds with eye-popping, wellness-boosting experiences and spa treatments. You can work with their health concierges to target whatever irks you; try everything from cryotherapy to a 3D body scan; indulge in a hammam cleansing ritual, thalassotherapy session, and so much more.

You're here because

Their resident chef—Heinz Beck—has three Michelin stars, not to mention an honorary degree in natural bio-energies and naturopathy. Translation: healthful food that’s as delicious as the “bad” stuff.

The Moment

After playing a round on the Palazzo’s golf course—one of Italy’s first—you deserve a treat. So you head to the spa and book yourself a volcanic stone massage and a steep in their mineral-stocked salt pool. Heaven.

Restaurants & Bars

The Palazzo Fiuggi Food Line - Developed by senescence and genetics specialist Prof. David Della Morte Canosci, in collaboration with our resident three-star Michelin chef Heinz Beck, who boasts an honorary degree in Natural Bio-Energies and Naturopathy, the Palazzo Fiuggi Food Line is no ordinary diet. Food Line offers guests a supportive regimen, combining a balanced calorie intake with a targeted movement program and incorporating a personalized combination of nutrients to activate the molecular pathways that stimulate cellular rejuvenation.

Location

Atop a hill in the Italian spa town of Fiuggi, about an hour’s drive from Rome.
