Your Roman Home

What it is

A 14-suite hideaway owned by the Ferragamo family.

What it isn't

Tired. They’re not resting on their (many) laurels; every aspect of the property is exquisite.

What we think

The detail-oriented wizardry that turned humble cobbler Salvatore Ferragamo into a household name (and by household, we mean Beverly Hills estates) has been harnessed in the Ferragamo family’s first Roman hotel. They’ll happily arrange a Ferrari tour of Tuscany, a personal shopper to whirl you around Via Condotti and carry your bags without complaint, or even a fireside private dinner on the terrace. Rooms themselves are equally lovingly curated, with Magnum photographs of 1950s-era Rome and even ephemera from Ferragamo’s early days of designing cinematic footwear for Old Hollywood screen sirens. On the amenities list: a pillow menu, a sheet menu, a Bose bluetooth sound system and toiletries by—who else?—Ferragamo.

You're here because

You love to feel at home when you travel, but you’re a devoted hotel maximalist—just hearing the word Airbnb makes you shudder. So it’s no wonder the words “Ferragamo mansion” have you booking the next flight out.

The Moment

After a long day pounding the cobblestones, you want nothing more than a nightcap. You open your minibar to discover the hotel staff have filled it with your very favorite snacks and wine. When in Rome, apparently, you cry of happiness.

Location

A couple blocks from Villa Borghese, and directly above the Salvatore Ferragamo store. In other words, it’s located in heaven.
