What we think
An air of classicism runs through this century-old pied-à-terre brimming with period interiors and antique prints accrued over a century by the illustrious Spalletti family. The 14 rooms and suites have subtle cornicing and architraving, original parquet floors and a host of original, olden-day artwork. Pride of place belongs to the hotel’s library, a mahogany-paneled jewel with a fireplace and Count Spalletti Trivelli’s original collection of tomes. It’s not all splendid interiors, however: The villas has a rooftop with shaded sun-loungers and jacuzzis, extensive private gardens, and an extensive wellness center inspired by ancient bathing traditions.

Location
On the historic Via Piacenza in the Quirinal District, 20 minutes from Rome’s Termini station and 35 from Fiumicino. The villa is placed perfectly for sightseeing, with the Trevi Fountain just five minutes by foot and the Capitoline, Pantheon and Colosseum only 15 minutes.
