What it is
A 568 acre heaven fronting the Mediterranean, with three on-site golf courses.
What it isn't
Old World. Expect an infinity pool and a new on-site Escape Room.
What we think
If you’ve ever found yourself bored on vacation (it happens, even in Italy), this is your perfect resort. The activities list is longer than a small town phone book, with wide-ranging thrills for every sort of globetrotter. Want to be DJ for a day? Check. Need to learn Nadal’s tennis tips on a clay court? Check. Golfers flock here for the high tech on-site Golf Academy run by PGA pros; your al fresco lessons include feedback from ultra high speed Casio video cameras. What else would you expect from the site of the 2018 Rocco Forte Sicilian Open? Guests especially love that the 191 rooms, 29 suites and 6 villas are fitted with dreamy comforts (Sicilian maiolica tilework and canopied four post beds) for those moments when you inevitably tire of all the fun.
You're here because
You needed a kid-friendly hotel, and boy is this ever. Children are honored (and pampered) guests at Verdura Resort—with 24-hour babysitting services, a kids club staffed by a hedgehog mascot, and adorkable welcome treats (yep, that’s a personalized gingerbread man).
You’re not sure why, but you tend to gain weight in Italy. Blessedly, among this respite’s many delicious restaurants is the Spa Bar. One slurp of your strawberry and tomato gazpacho with flax seed crackers and you feel slim as that Italian model you saw splayed out poolside.

The resort has a variety of motorized and non-motorized water sports available for use. Additionally, Verdura Resort, carefully designed as a family-friendly hotel, joins younger guests with all ingredients chosen to form a playful and dynamic experience that invites learning and fun. Set among olive groves kissed by Mediterranean sunshine and the best Sicilian coast, you will find the new Verdùland: a lively space dedicated to both ‘RBabies’ and ‘RKids’. Let’s learn, cook, create, adventure and play with Verdù hedgehog mascot and the specialised team, or join the Junior Sport Academies merged into the Resort’s natural beauty. Excursions nearby are also organised, such as riding and trips to beautiful beaches. At Verdùland newborn babies are welcomed as well as children aged between four to 12, offering just as great stay at Verdura Resort as the grown-ups.
A 15 minute drive from the Sicilian town of Sciacca, Verdura Resort is decked by olive groves and lush acreage that stretches in all directions. It’s not your own private Idaho—it’s your own private Sicily, and therefore paradise. Ask the concierge where to find the many secret beaches that dot the coastline from Agrigento to Selinunte; you’re likely to have the cove at Le Pergole to yourself.
