Baglioni Hotel Luna
Waterfront Grandeur
What it is
A dazzlingly ornate hotel adjacent to Piazza San Marco, with an over the top breakfast spread, Michelin-starred chef, and a nature-inspired spa that will leave you glowing.
What it isn't
Boring. Guests can indulge in some incredible only-in-Venice experiences, including Murano glass workshops (you’ll even custom-make your own glass piece) and artisanal chocolate tastings at Viziovirtù.
What we think
Even in a city so beautiful that it will literally drop your jaw at every turn, Baglioni Hotel Luna is exquisite. Guest rooms here are worthy of former Venice locals and artists like Vivaldi and Titian, with their elaborate gleaming wallcoverings, gilt furniture, Murano glass chandeliers, and silky bed linens. Superior Rooms begin at 215 square feet, and while they’re lovely, we think it’s well worth splurging on a Canal View Room (269 square feet) or 430 square foot Junior Suite. Either way, you’ll be pampered with a gratis bottle of wine, water at turndown, DellaLuna toiletries, and robes and slippers ideal for raiding the minibar on those rare nights in.
You're here because
You love little more than an included hotel breakfast in Europe, and this one is particularly abundant—with decadent pastries, local cured meats and cheeses, and an eye candy setting of hand painted frescoes.
The Moment
Michelin-starred Chef Claudio Sadler has wowed you so completely at dinner tonight that you’re seeing stars…Michelin stars. One bite of your pesto risotto with clam ragu and tamarind and you may have to extend your trip for dinner here again; it’s that good.
