What we think
If you want to live like Italian nobility when you’re in Venice, Palazzo Venart is the spot. Guest rooms here are utterly dazzling, beginning with the 236 square foot “Classic Rooms,” which have antique exposed beam ceilings, Venetian stucco walls, hand-painted frescoes, tasseled window treatments, carved furniture, Calacatta marble-lined bathrooms….shall we go on? If you’re not in Venice often, it’s well worth booking a room with a view of the canals. Our favorite: the Suite Grand Canal, which has castle-worthy parquet flooring, an onyx clad bathroom, separate living space and the kind of glittery furniture Marie Antoinette would have wanted on a Venetian stay.
