Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo
Glittering crown jewel of the Riviera
What it is
The quintessential Monte Carlo experience.
What it isn't
Modern or moody; it’s a Riviera classic and not trying to be anything else.
What we think
The 1864 grande dame of Monte Carlo, right on the Place du Casino, is steeped in Belle Epoque grandeur: an extravagantly detailed, pure-white façade; marble floors and columns; domed skylights; arched ceilings dripping with chandeliers; miles of Oriental rugs, and French doors that open to the sparkling sea. The hotel will remain open during a major renovation that’s due for completion in December 2018 and will bring enlarged guest rooms, luxury and breathtaking suites, a huge top-floor suite, and a new fitness, spa and pool area. Up to the grand reopening, our guests will enjoy a boutique hotel experience, in an intimate atmosphere, with a very attentive and dedicated service team focusing on their every needs and demands. In the meantime, the 209 rooms (89 of them suites) have a classic design, although those with a view of the casino or the sea tend to be more elaborate, with hardwood floors, toile wallcoverings, and marble baths. If you can pull yourself away from watching the yachts and helicopters come and go out your window, downstairs offers unparalleled pleasures. Of the restaurants on site, the gems are Alain Ducasse’s new Mediterranean spot, Ômer, and his three-Michelin-starred Le Louis XV; the hotel’s legendary wine cellar dates from 1874 and has a 350,000-bottle collection. A quick walk to the sea is Les Thermes Marins, the city’s largest spa, with its gorgeous glassed-in pool facing the Med and every imaginable spa service. Hotel guests also have access to the private Monte-Carlo Beach Club and, of course, the casino.
You're here because
You’ll settle for nothing less than the full Monte Carlo experience.
Stepping into the cathedral-like lobby, you feel the almost tangible presence of the hotel’s legendary past. Amidst the oversized sunglasses and Birkin bags, you expect to see Grace Kelly glide by, or perhaps spot Churchill, a snifter of priceless cognac in hand.
Pride of place in Monte Carlo, with the Casino right next door and across the street from the Café de Paris. From Nice airport: 30 minutes by car and 7 minutes by helicopter.
