Kimpton Vividora Hotel
What it is
The sparkling jewel of the Gothic Quarter, with art-filled Mid Century inspired rooms, three addictive restaurants and a rooftop pool and terrace.
What it isn't
Just for bipeds. Pets of every ilk stay free and are treated to all manner of pawfect amenities, including grooming kits and even pet strollers.
What we think
There’s a reason Kimpton fans are obsessive about the brand. Even abroad, it rolls out the red carpet to make you feel at home. Here, guests will find gratis local wine and vermouth at the evening merienda social hour, loaner bikes and longboards for wheeling around town, live music jam sessions, and Barcelona-made toiletries in the bathroom. Guest rooms are just as charmingly designed; each one adorned in serene blonde woods and high-style grays and blacks, with perks galore, including Nespresso machines, smart TVs, and even in-room yoga mats. We find it’s worth booking the King Bed Premium for a private balcony that peeps out on the Gothic Quarter, or the Suite de Vivi, which has its own corner private terrace, rainshower and a deep, spa-like soaking tub. Bliss.
You're here because
There is nothing like a rooftop pool in Barcelona, the skyline sparkling along with the stars…and this one has the added bonus of weekend DJs, comfy chaise lounges and on-point cocktails.
The best part of waking up isn’t Folgers…it’s the a la carte breakfast at Fauna. Nutella crepes? Check. Iberian ham with grated tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and housemade bread? Yes please. No coffee shop chain will ever compare.
