When you learn that Robert De Niro himself co-owns Nobu Hotels, their Oscar worthy interiors make perfect sense. Most guests are here to let loose and soak up some sun, so the rooms are tailor-made for pure chillaxing: swathed in neutrals and blonde woods, with rain showers in the marble-lined bathrooms; private terraces; loaner tablets and—of course—mini bars stocked to party. Of course, in a hotel whose namesake is sushi star chef Nobu Matsuhisa, the restaurants are on point (and you’ll have VIP access, as a guest). Belly up to the sushi bar or hit the terrace for bluefin toro tartar with caviar, lobster shiitake salad with spicy lemon dressing and—swoon—lobster ceviche on butter lettuce. We get that this is a beach trip, but it’s worth ruining any semblance of swimsuit body you have with a dessert of passion fruit brûlée with coconut ice cream. It is, in a word, divine.
