Sant Tomàs, Spain
Villa Le Blanc, a Gran Meliá Hotel
What it is
A modernist oceanfront retreat with a Thai spa, indoor and outdoor pools, three locavore restaurants, and hotel boutiques that feel more like curated local shops.
What it isn't
Boring. Staffers have put together a seemingly bottomless range of activities, whether you want to snorkel hidden coves, visit a nearby cheesemaker, see wild horses, and more.
What we think
The sea is everything here—rolling infinitely beyond the resort’s clifftop perch and as turquoise as the sky. Thankfully, the designers of this ultra-chic hideaway had the good sense to keep it that way. Guest rooms put the focus on the views with a color palette of soothing and sandy neutrals; arched architectural flourishes; and luxe amenities, including 300 thread count bed linens, private terraces, and coffee makers for an in-room cuppa. Rooms can feel intimate (the Deluxe with Terrace begins at 322 square feet); we recommend booking a 484 square foot Junior Suite Sea View with Terrace Tub, where you can steep in your own al fresco soaking tub while watching the sunset. Heaven.
You're here because
You’re bringing the family, and littles are treated like the ascendant rock stars they are with The Kidsdom kids club, complete with reading areas and uber-stylish, only-in-Europe kids toys.
From your cushy oceanfront bench at S’Amarador, the resort’s much-lauded Mediterranean restaurant, the only thing more divine than the Menorcan T-bone before you is the salty air in your hair.
