What it is
A slice of high Italian design in Knightsbridge
What it isn't
What we think
The luxury brand’s London location embodies all the attention to detail and glamour of its jewelry. Rooms, restaurants, spa—all is fine wood and marble embellished with silver, a nod to the Roman company's silversmithing origins. The 85 rooms and suites are dressed in a muted and masculine palette of gray and mauve. A leather travel trunk serves as the minibar; the tableside lamps are replicas of original Bulgari candlesticks. (One drawback: Only a few rooms have great views.) Dressed in dark tunics and equipped with earpieces, the staff is ever-present and can handle any request, be it babysitting, packing, or serving as a personal guide to London’s best shopping.
You're here because
You have an eye for luxury but want a break from the typical English look and feel.
As you walk around—everything glitters, from the wine glasses to the flashing smiles to the gleaming Bulgari jewels on display.
The corner of Knightsbridge and Brompton Road, across from Hyde Park and a couple of doors down from Harvey Nichols.
