1 Hotel Toronto
Sleek and Serene
What it is
An eco-forward retreat with 91 rooms and 21 suites, four locavore restaurants, gratis wellness classes and a show-stopping rooftop pool and bar overlooking the skyline.
What it isn't
Schlepping. The hotel offers Audi test drives of their electric Audi e-tron.
What we think
It’s fitting that 1 Hotel Toronto put their name first…the hotel combines everything you could ever want for a first rate stay. At 377 square feet, the starter guest rooms feel enormous, thanks to floor to ceiling windows, rain showers, and a calming color palette of blonde woods, nubby oatmeal boucles and supple leathers. If you’re packing the kiddos, the Birch House Two Bedroom Suite can’t be beat: it has two guest rooms, a fully separate living room and two baths within its expansive 2750-square-foot floor plan. Whatever room you select, you’ll be treated to filtered water from the taps, pillow-top mattresses, Bamford toiletries and sustainably-made bedding practically guaranteed to help you sleep at night, environmentally speaking.
You're here because
You love a rooftop bar, but especially when it’s right at your hotel (translation: you can live it up until the wee hours within a quick stroll of your bed). At Harriet’s, the Purple Rain cocktail is a must—and includes housemade lychee hibiscus juice.
The Moment
Perched under a living wall at the hotel’s Casa Madera restaurant, you feel a little like you’re dining on a fairy tale, especially when your wagyu tomahawk arrives with smoked butter and black truffle. Mythically delicious.
