The Hazelton Hotel Toronto

Modern Luxury

What it is

Voted the top hotel in Canada, Hazelton is known for its 62 ginormous guest rooms and 15 suites, Valmont spa, immaculate indoor pool, and a glam seasonal restaurant.

What it isn't

Indoorsy. All rooms and suites have lush patios and balconies that offer the best of breezy, indoor/outdoor living.

What we think

There is no “starter” room category at The Hazelton. Awash in a palette of serene grays and blues, the Deluxe Room fully lives up to its name from its 464 square foot floor plan to its green granite-lined bathroom (replete with a rainfall shower) and zebrawood walk-in closet. Of course, if you need even more room to roam, Hazelton has you covered; we particularly love the 1,236 square foot Avenue Suite for its rounded rotunda in the separate living room overlooking Yorkville Avenue and dining area for cozy nights in. Whichever option you select, you can expect top shelf pampering; amenities include L'Occitane bath products, LCD tv’s hidden within the bathroom mirrors, Nespresso machines, and heated floors. Translation? You won’t want to leave.

You're here because

You love a fully tricked-out spa; this one has a saltwater pool, steam room, and Valmont treatments such as luminosity rituals, collagen eye masks and hot shell massages.

The Moment

Iconic design firm Yabu Pushelberg designed the hotel’s glitzy ONE restaurant, but it’s the dishes by Executive Chef Darby Piquette that are truly taking your breath away. Tonight’s order: lobster spoons with vermouth beurre fondue and Hokkaido scallops with char siu pork belly, snow pea shoots and crispy shallots.

Restaurants & Bars

ONE Restaurant and Bar- Mediterranean cuisine provided by Executive Chef Mark McEwan

Location

The pride of the tony Yorkville neighborhood in downtown Toronto, a mere two block walk from the Royal Ontario Museum, where the Daniel Libeskind-designed structure contains some 13,000,000 artifacts and art pieces from across the globe.
