Los Cabos, Mexico
One&Only Palmilla
Legendary luxury on Baja's tip
What it is
A secluded, Mexican Hacienda–style resort for VVIP's.
What it isn't
Viewless. The resort is perched on the edge of the Sea of Cortez with sweeping ocean views from every room and corner of the resort.
What we think
Lofted above the quiet stretch of beach where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific, One&Only Palmilla has long been the preferred host of those looking for an exclusive escape—from John Wayne and Eisenhower in the early days to George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston today. Palmilla is more than a celebrity guest list, though. The 174-room resort doesn’t miss a detail; every old-world, elegant room has a private balcony or patio, menus to customize pillow and sheet selection, aromatherapy turndown service, even a telescope for stargazing or watching the breaching whales offshore. In addition to the adults-only and family-friendly pools, One&Only Palmilla has the only private beach on Los Cabo’s rocky coastline. While the property is easily walkable, the majority of rooms aren’t near the center of activity; they’re spread out and intimately private. Getting to the resort’s beautiful destination-unto-itself spa, the 27-hole golf course or the restaurants—among the options: Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s refined take on steak at SEARED and elevated Mexican at Agua—isn’t a trek, though. Every room has a personal butler who will whisk you anywhere, anytime.
You're here because
You're looking for service that doesn't miss a beat, exclusivity that protects even the most paparazzi-sought and some of Mexico's most beautiful vistas.
The Moment
Stars begin to appear as the brilliant sunset colors transition to a deep nighttime indigo. Surrounded by candles, swaying palms and the gentle crash of the surf, you lean against your partner on the Terrace and toast to a perfect night.
