Cancún, Mexico
SLS Cancun
Private Paradise
What it is
A dazzling 45-suite retreat with a private beach club, marina, 18-hole golf course designed by PGA pro Tom Weiskopf, serene spa overlooking the water, and more.
What it isn't
Peckish. The resort’s restaurants will satisfy your every craving (don’t miss the tomahawk steak at Leynia, where much of the menu is cooked on an open fire).
What we think
Luxury knows no bounds at SLS Cancun. Guest rooms are minimal yet warm, thanks to regionally inspired woven textiles, floor to ceiling windows, blonde wood furniture and sculptural light fixtures. The beginning category, a Superior King Room, is huge at 645 square feet, and spa-like with its deep egg-shaped soaking tub and a separate rainfall shower. If you feel like a splurge, the Deluxe Ocean Front One Bedroom Suite Double is well worth it for its 710 square foot floor plan and a step-out balcony complete with a hammock overlooking the sea for lazing the day away.
You're here because
The hotel has put together a flotilla of yacht experiences on their five ships, whether you want to treat yourself to a yacht and scuba trip or a blissful yacht day. And don’t forget to add on your wave runner.
The Moment
The Bungalow Beach Club was inspired by those on the French Riviera, and honestly? Oui, oui. Settled under your umbrella as the DJ spins, the only thing more delectable than this spring mojito is the scene, which looks straight out of Saint-Tropez.
