Sanctuary Camelback Mountain
Covid-19 - What you should know
Skylark’s advisor team is here to support you. Travel is tricky right now and planning isn’t always straightforward, but our team of advisors is here to assist in every way we can.
What it is
A 53-acre spa tucked under the towering red rock peaks of Camelback mountain, with 109 suites and casitas and a Food Network chef helming the cuisine.
What it isn't
For kids. The spa does allow guests 16 and up, but until they’re 18 they need to soak up their R&R alongside a full-fledged adult.
What we think
There’s a good reason they call this corner of Arizona “Paradise Valley”—and guests of Sanctuary experience its pinnacle. Accommodations here are fitted with ultra luxe touches, from the Fili D’Oro linens topping Simmons Felicity Pillow Top Mattresses to the soaking tubs stocked with votive candles, bath salts and Molten Brown amenities, both of which have our inner tweens chillaxing at the very thought. Book a Terrace Casita for an 875-square-foot space with a private outdoor shower and private patio with a flickering gas fireplace that makes for an extraordinary sunset cocktail hour overlooking your dreamy neighbor: 2,707-foot-high Camelback Mountain. Of course, you won’t likely spend much time in your room anyway; the resort’s myriad repeat guests rave over the on-site thrills, including a cabana-flanked infinity pool and hiking trails aplenty.
You're here because
The spa treatments are head-to-toe revamps, whether you want to be scrubbed down with lavender and citrus sea minerals or try a much-needed adjustment of chi with acupuncture.
You worked up quite a thirst during your tennis match on the resort’s championship Deco-Turf courts, so you beeline straight for Jade Bar—where bartenders are shaking up cocktails and elucidating their history in the Mixology 101 class. Tippling while learning? Arizona really is for party schools.
