What it is
A charming, family-run wine country inn that is undoubtedly luxurious.
What it isn't
A fast-paced or family-friendly hotel.
What we think
This tiny family-owned inn constantly makes the ranks of Condé Nast’s top 50 hotels in the world, and after one night of staying here, you’ll understand why. Located in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma wine country, Farmhouse Inn is a truly luxurious and romantic retreat. Choose from 25 rooms and suites, all of which are undeniably cozy and reminiscent of a New England B&B. Warm cashmere throws, fireplaces and jetted bathtubs are among the many features implanted to make you feel right at home. The smallest rooms (starting at 250 square feet) are admittedly “compact,” so if you need some more space, upgrade to one of the larger King rooms and make sure to get one of the rooms with an indoor-outdoor fireplace. Also on property is a renowned Michelin-starred restaurant and a brand new spa by Francis & Alexander. Once you’re ready to leave property, the concierge can help you pick from the 400+ wineries in the Sonoma wine country.
