Beverly Hills, California
The Maybourne Beverly Hills
California soul and a dash of European flair
What it is
An opulent resort with a Mediterranean feel, in the heart of 90210.
What it isn't
Frilly or feminine: The decor is elegant but on the masculine side.
What we think
With its California soul and dash of European flair The Maybourne Beverly Hills is the epitome of west coast charm. Located at the foot of Rodeo Drive, the hotel offers an array of dining options including The Terrace and Ysabel Beverly Hills on the rooftop. Boasting the largest spa in the neighborhood, an exceptional collection of contemporary art, and a singular style of discreet and impeccable service, The Maybourne Beverly Hills lives up to its landmark location in the beating heart of Beverly Hills. A Mediterranean-style elegance prevails, from the hand-painted arched ceilings and fruitwood floors to the murals made from handcrafted Portuguese tiles. The 201 guestrooms and 55 suites are oversized with crown moldings and vintage art, and have plenty of decadent touches: shaving mirrors inset in the showers, electronic drapery controls so you don’t need to leave bed to enjoy the morning view. (Larger rooms have balconies overlooking Beverly Hills.) The vast, two-floor spa houses a mosaic-tiled atrium with mineral pools and a fireplace, and offers facial and skin treatments from Swiss beauty firm L.Raphael. The poolside Rooftop Grill serves farmer’s market-sourced plates and snacks all day. Service throughout is excellent, from the top-hatted doormen to the pool boys offering Evian mistings and glasses of rosé.

The Moment
